2024: A Year of Resilience and Community

As we enter what’s known in Germany as the "5th season"—the time when everything slows down a bit, family and friends take center stage, and we wrap up the year—it's the perfect moment to pause, reflect, and plan for the future. For us at Search Guard, this year has been about resilience, adaptability, and most importantly, the power of community.

The pace of change in the world seems to grow faster each year. As businesses and individuals scramble to keep up with evolving technologies and challenges, it can often feel overwhelming. Yet, for us at Search Guard, it’s also been a year of progress, building on a strong foundation of security, trust, and community.

We’ve been able to consistently provide our customers with reliable, trusted solutions even in the face of uncertainty. Many businesses around us have struggled, some even closing their doors, but we have continued to grow and innovate, thanks in large part to our loyal users and team.

Search Guard has always been about meeting the security needs of the open-source world, and this year has seen many milestones that reinforce our mission. Since our inception in 2016, we’ve worked tirelessly to offer the most secure solutions, constantly improving as new challenges arise.

Some of the most important milestones in our journey include: - 2012: Launching Search Guard to provide top-notch security for Elasticsearch. - 2020: Founding Eliatra, which allowed us to broaden our reach and capabilities. - 2021: Partnering with OpenSearch to continue pushing innovation in the search and analytics space. - 2024: Eliatra becoming a founding member of the OpenSearch Software Foundation, marking a new chapter of collaboration and open-source leadership. These milestones are a testament to the dedication and vision of the Search Guard team, and most importantly, the trust of our customers. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you.
